05. Visit Nine Arches Bridge in Ella
This is the most iconic structure in Ella and one of the most Instagrammable spots in Sri Lanka. The Nine Arches Bridge, constructed during the colonial era in 1921, still functions as a train track linking Ella to Demodara towns.
It’s also known as the Stone Bridge and Bridge in the Sky, standing tall in a valley surrounded by thick jungle on one side and beautifully trimmed tea bushes on the other.

How to get to the Nine Arch Bridge

If you’re looking for a quicker and easier way to get there, you can take a tuk-tuk from Ella town to the Nine Arch Bridge parking area and then walk the final 5–10 minutes.
