04.  Msheireb Museums

The Msheireb Museums highlight Qatar’s history in four renovated houses. Bin Jelmood House, Company House, Mohammed Bin Jassim House, and Radwani House were converted into museums that display significant figures and eras in Qatar’s historical development.

Bin Jelmood House was the home of a slaver. It looks at slavery in all its forms throughout history. Bin Jelmood shows the social and economic effects of slavery through audio-visual content, including testimonies from the descendants of enslaved people.

Company House tells the story of the oil business through the eyes of the men who made it. Along with the displays, video footage of workers shows how the industry and the country have evolved over time.
