Al Bayt Stadium, commonly known as Al Khor Stadium, is one of the newly inaugurated major Qatari stadiums constructed for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
In late 2015, construction of the stadium began. The stadium opened on 30 November 2021 with a 2021 Arab Cup first-round group match between Qatar and Bahrain. It also hosted five games at the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup, including the championship match on December 18, 2021.

Al Bayt Stadium has a seating capacity of about 60,000, distributed over three decks. Following the World Cup, the upper deck will be removed and given to developing countries, decreasing the ability to 32,000 seats.
During the World Cup, the stadium will host several first-round group matches, including the opening match and the round of 16, quarterfinal, and semifinal matches.
The Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) gave the stadium five stars for its design and construction. Additionally, the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) gave the stadium a rating of Class A* for its construction process, and it received a certificate for complying with the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio.

How to get to Al Bayt Stadium
Doha Metro
Al Bayt stadiums are easy to get to with public transportation
Lusail QNB, which is on the red line, is the nearest metro station to Al Bayt Stadium. Thereafter, shuttle buses will take about 25 minutes to reach the stadium, followed by a 15-minute walk.
Stadium express buses
This service will run from special Stadium Express Bus Hubs in the centre of Doha and at places where people stay to Al Bayt Stadium. Fans will then have to walk at least 20 minutes to get to the stadium. Buses start running four hours before the game starts and stop running about an hour and a half after the game is over. One hour before the game starts, the last bus will leave the Bus Hub.

- Barwa Madinatna – 65-minute drive
- Souq Waqif North – 60-minute drive
- FIFA Fan Festival – 55-minute drive
- West Bay – 45-minute drive
